Drawings that are to scale are most successfully communicated to C&M Rubber Co. by using one of the following file extensions:
- For 2D: .dgn .vlm .dxf .igs .dwg .slddrw
- For 3D: .co .vs .stp .sat .x_t .igs .prt .sldprt .par
- For Solid Geometry: .stp .sat .x_t
Drawings that do not include CAD geometry may be sent in a pdf, .jpg or .tif file format.
CAD geometry is required for tool building. The most desirable type of file for quoting or
manufacturing purposes is a 'solid'.
It is critical that you include a 2D drawing in one of the above formats or at a minimum provide
one major dimension along with your solid for-scale confirmation.
We encourage you to consult the
Rubber Manufacturers Association Dimensional Tolerances Table prior to submitting a drawing for quotation.
To help ensure project success, C&M Rubber Co. highly recommends consulting these tolerances and incorporating their use as a guideline for all of your rubber molding projects.

PLEASE NOTE: Submission of as much detail as possible regarding your drawing will greatly shorten the turn-around time for your quote. As a rule, a quotation will take approximately 5-7 business days to be completed, depending upon:
- The amount of discussion required for our engineers to gain a reasonable understanding of your application
- The complexity of the part you wish to create
- The backlog of quote requests currently being processed by the selected toolmaker. We rely upon their input to provide a final tooling cost for your project.
Thank you for your interest and the opportunity to quote your project. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call Greg Schwall or Jim McCloskey at 937-299-2782.
